Overview

Day: 1– Arrival to Kenya Arrival to Nairobi where our staff will meet and greet. There after we shall drop you to our well selected hotel for check-in, refreshments and depending on the time of arrival you will have an a half day or evening tour of the city / around hotel facility.

Day :2 -City walking /drive excursion

After breakfast, we will embark on a full day city excursion to the Nairobi national park https://www.nairobinationalparkkenya.com/ ) with an early check in time before 7am to catch the morning game. At 11 am we will exit the park and drive to the elephants orphanage the game sanctuary by David Shedrick where they rescue elephants (https://www.sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/ ) and thereafter a visit to the giraffe center (https://www.giraffecentre.org/ ) and an evening at the carnival restaurant for a relaxing meat dinner experience (https://tamarind.co.ke/carnivore/ ) later a drop off at your hotel .

Day 3 & 4 Visit to charitable institutions in Nairobi city

After a hearty breakfast, depart for the charitable institution connected with TIES society in Kibera where you will be welcomed by the management. After orientation you will start your charity work interacting with the orphaned children in different activities, such as teaching, painting, painting, feeding, playing, and cooking amongst other activities. After the missionary work you are awarded with a commemoration certificate for your charitable work. In the evening, you will return to the hotel for overnight stay.

NB: The missionaries interested in this missionary tour will agree with us on the activities they are interested in undertaking at the orphanage and a realistic budget will be worked together to cater for the activities they want to support the orphanage with. A donation of USD 200 will go along way

Day: 5 – Visit to charitable institutions within Nairobi & its environs

This day we will depart the hotel after breakfast and drive to the following projects as below; 8:30 am – 1:30 am – Visit a community school with over 200 pupils from vulnerable families sponsored by the Christian community in kikuyu (Kimuri child rehabilitation center) The pupils in this institution have vast challenges ranging from full /partial orphans, vulnerable to child abuse and lack of basic education. The institution through the church supports their physco-social needs, education nutrition and health. Here we will make a donation of USD 300 to support their nutrition and sanitary wear for both boys and girls.

Day: 6- Visit to charitable institutions within Nairobi & its environs

9:00 am -1:00 pm –Rhodes Day Care – This is a small day care service institution few kms from the first institution that specifically takes care or children of ages 1-4 years whose parents are engaged in menial jobs such as greenhouse farming, small scale traders who can’t afford the early child hood education in formal institutions. The children here are offered basic care, introduction to early learning’s and a play group. The day care holds 20 children on daily basis. Here we will make a donation of USD 100 to provide learning and playing materials and also have time to play with the kids. Day 7: – Visit to charitable institutions within Nairobi & its environs 1:00 pm -2:00 pm –Lunch with the community members -where a well-prepared local meal will be prepared, served by the locals to promote local tourism and decent work for communities in the area. A donation of USD 100 to the local community group members will go along way to improving their services. 2: 00 pm-4:30 pm Visit to the Henry Wanyoike community school that takes care of vulnerable children from a local slum in Kabete ( 4kms from the kikuyu town)The institution takes care of 100 children from the slums of kanjeru where they offer education and nutrition among other child services. A donation of USD 100 will support their nutritional needs.

Day 8-10 The lakes tour –Ondiri Wetlands Naivasha, Elementaita and Nakuru 

After the breakfast we shall depart for an epic tour to the fresh water swamp Ondiri and the lakes of Naivasha, Elementaita and Nakuru. We will start our early drive by passing through the Ondiri wetlands the source of longest river basin in Kenya and Nairobi River now threatened by the prolonged drought, vegetation loss bird’s loss due to human activities around the swamp (A donation of USD 50 to the friends of Ondiri organization will support their efforts in the conservation journey)

There after we drive through the Great Rift Valley with stopovers for photography and super views of the land scapes. By midmorning we will arrive at Lake Naivasha for a boat ride to the crescent island for bird watching and small game view where we will encounter with the water backs, school of hippos and other grazing animals. The lakes are popular destination due to their biodevsity of birds, wildlife, flora and fauna. The lake is under threat due to high rise of water levels pushing the communities around the area away due to flooding and destabilized ecosystem. Here we will interact with a group of boat operators who have lost livelihood due to rise of the lakes, the water hyacinth disrupting their boating activities and hence a loss of jobs (a donation of USD 50 to the boat riders group will support their endeveours) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Naivasha )

Lunch break – we will have a local lunch break by Lake Elementaita with great views of the pink lake famously known for its flamingo’s habitation. (A donation of USD 50 to the Elementaita community rangers group will support their conservation work ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Elmenteita )

Later in the afternoon we will drive to Nakuru National Park for an evening game drive that will end at around 6:00 pm and later a night at a hotel in/close to the park. Nakuru national park is a fresh water lake park a great habitation for the black rhinos and other big aniamls such as the lions leopards,hippos,buffalos and girrafes and also have for birds.(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Nakuru)
